Finally some GOOD NEWS: Shawn VanDiver of @afghanevac.bsky.social says he’d been hearing the TCR of Afghans via Pakistan had been postponed. (My understanding was that it was supposed to go yesterday.) And just now, a federal judge has blocked it nationally through at least Saturday.

I led my colleagues to urge the Administration to cancel this deportation flight & I’m relieved it's been cancelled for now. But it isn’t a solution. Our nation made a promise to stand by Afghans who risked their lives and their families’ safety. Sending them back to the Taliban breaks that promise.
