Book cover Title: A Match Made in Hate*, Dark & Dirty Vows Book 1 Author: Morgan Bridges Performed by: Allie Shae and Aidan Snow * The book's title changed at some point and may be listed as 'A Match Made in Hatred'. *****Book review***** >'Loyalty 'Til Death'< The fact that Emilia Caruso and Maximus (Max) Silvestri met when she was younger gives an interesting twist to this. Sure, he doesn't resemble that caring, seemingly sweet man at the start of this, but I like how he slowly reveals that below the surface, the man she first saw still exists. -- Book quote 'Some people get off on the terror of others, so it’s best not to tempt him. Whatever is holding him back from advancing is a barrier I don’t want to disable.' -- Emilia Caruso Don't get me wrong. This is dark and slightly messed up, but their relationship as adults is full of sparks, some hot and steamy, some questionable and concerning. -- Book quote “If you speak again, I will shove my cock between those pretty lips to ensure you shut the fuck up.” -- Maximus Silvestri She may not have much experience with anything outside the confines of her cell / childhood bedroom, but I love how she soaks them up when opportunity presents itself. Her wonder feels almost childlike. I listened to the audio book. The narrators, Aidan Snow and Allie Shae, are terrific selections for these characters. I really enjoy their work here. 🎧❤️🎧 Story: 4 stars Narration: 4.5 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x H = 30s?; h = 20?

Book cover Title: Crash, Sinners and Saints Book one Author: Kathy Lockheart Narrated in duet by: Aidan Snow & Brooke Bloomingdale *****Book review***** >Her Morally Gray Guardian< You know, I really didn't know what to expect with this. Yes, I read, or at least skimmed, the blurb, which I don't often do, but Kathy's new to me, and I wanted to have an idea of what I was getting into. Still, I missed that Dr. Blake Morrison has a bit of a dark side. I think I should be a little scared of the fact that I like it. Blake is extremely grumpy and cold, so watching him melt is entertaining as all getup. Sure, he breaks HIPAA and the Hippocratic Oath, but I mean, does it matter? 😉 It might not be cool in real life, but it's kinda hot here. -- Book quote 'The reason I cared this much was because she was Ryker’s family … Right?' -- Blake Morrison I hope I don't have a medical mystery like Tessa Kincaid has. It's clear that the author is passionate about this (she tells a snippet of her personal story, letting us know the reason for the heartfelt storytelling). Kathy pours a lot of angst and emotion into Tessa's illness, her journey for answers, and a touch of Occam's Razor as the cause and resolution come into view. I really like the writing and general unfolding of events. The epilogues, including the audiobook exclusive, are terrific! The setup for the next book and the HEA this couple needs leave me wanting more. I listened to the audio book. The narrators, Brooke Bloomingdale and Aidan Snow, are fabulous in duet! I completely enjoyed their delivery. Story: 4.5 stars Narration: 4.5 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x H = 35; h = 33
