Aikido is on the second stage of Dayto Ryu and its central point is kuzushi - break of the opponent's balance. The same as in Judo or Aikijujutsu.
Therefore, Aikido is active and not reactive. It's aggressive by its nature.

We all hold tension in our bodies. Sometimes chronically. Tension is often from the mind. Awareness of tension is the first step to change. Releasing tension brings freedom. You can’t do Aikijujutsu or Aiki no Jutsu with muscle tension. Practice at our dojo will open new ways of being and moving.

Had a great #daitoryu #aikijujutsu practise today at #sasuga. Been too long since I was last there (busy with many things). But today I got several things working nicely and randori was pretty satisfactory. Something clicked.
