I woke up this morning and found that my son had painted my nails with the acrylic paints I bought him for his Airfix bridge layer. My nails are now gunmetal and rust coloured. This'll be hard to explain down at the station.

Dry fitting, next up: painting the canopy frames. I’ll be using a paintbrush for that. Have to say, the Italeri canopy fits perfectly - something Airfix could learn from. Fortunately the Mustang P-51A has fewer canopy frames compared to a P-40-Warhawk.

主翼の片方にフラップ操作用のワイヤーを追加。構造を支えるワイヤーではないので、気持ち他より細めに。
いや、難しかったです。これはテグスと瞬着の方がやりやすかった気がしますね。少しまっすぐが出ていないですが、この部分だけで2時間かかったので、Good enoughということにして、次に進みましょう。
完成は近い。なので、手で持てるところがだんだんなくなってきました😅

簡易ヒートプレスの技法を覚えてから今までキャノピー何個も作ってきた……のだけれど……
パーツ単体としてみると凄〜くキレイなパーツが出来上がるけど、一度としてピッタリ合った試しが無いんだよね💦 だからどんなに出来が悪くてもできるだけ素直にキットのクリアパーツを使用する。今回はそのクリアパーツが欠品だったんで仕方なく作ったのだ😆
