Issued on July 8, the dedicated Conflict Zone Information Bulletins (CZIBs) replace a broader regional advisory with targeted, high-risk warnings.

The renewed agreement will see Jettainer continue to supply and manage the airline’s ULD fleet, including containers and pallets, supporting its long-haul operations.

CUPE sought improved compensation terms for its 4,400 members, including pay from check-in until clock-out rather than just during flight time. WestJet’s CEO, Alexis von Hoensbroech, stated the tentative deal reflects the cabin crew’s professionalism and apologized for the inconvenience caused to travelers. Passengers are advised to monitor flight status updates as the airline continues ramping up operations. While service is gradually returning to normal, full recovery may take several days due to the scale of disruptions. The agreement will now be presented to union members for ratification, marking a critical step in resolving labor tensions at the Calgary-based carrier.
