Note that sinusoidal signals are in different phase (peaks in different position). AFAIK, it means these are coming from different orbital slot: 25 East for Alphasat...XX degrees for Mystery Sat?

So, this satellite has higher inclination than Inmarsat (Alphasat) Picture here shows simulated Alphasat signal at top and Mystery Sat at bottom. Mystery wobbles more North and South on its 24h orbit, hence bigger doppler shift Irregularities in signal are from my hardware 2/n

Wobbly AERO signal on 1545.115 MHz over two days. Alphasat has 2.6 degree inclination, so from my point of view the sat goes up and down in the sky. This introduces slight doppler shift into signal. Green line is predicted shift from STRF. It has pretty good match.

Nothing much...just pushing JAERO/SDRReceiver. 26 instances of JAERO: all 600, 1200, 10500 bps channels on Alphasat and couple of 8400 bps voice channels on top... Nice!

Round two: NOAA-19 in five. Alphasat is 180 Az from here, its AERO signals are good way to found south!

Ku-band feed hunting? Because why not! My 10€ tripod,15€ motor and 10€ dish waiting for DVB-S2 card to arrive. Wouldn't be nice to swing from QO-100 25E to Astra 19E and to Eutelsat 7E? A quick stop at Alphasat and Skynet-5? Ku-, L- and S-bands will be covered, eventually 😂

(2/n) I was curious could I see the Alphasat wobble via Doppler shift. I randomly selected a peak/carrier at 1538.029 MHz. Because of a patch antenna I really not idea where's the signal is coming from. Anything from 24E to 70E...

And it goes like POP! Earlier today was #Inmarsat #AERO (and more) service migration from IOR to Alphasat (EMEA). Some IOR channels shut down and re-started at A-sat. Patch antenna was connected to @airspy_com Mini, @Nooelec LNA+filter. Data capture with @cgbassa 's #strf.
