Weird interaction at the park today. Walking across some open grass to the big field. Guy is approaching with an on lead muzzled Alsatian. I start walking in a different direction to create some distance. He repeatedly changes direction to come towards us. Ignoring the hint.

Mind you, the Alsatian in Ilford who mauled another dog and woman was owned by a useless conspiracy-theory addled lady who refused to get him neutered because it was "against nature" and "big pharma" or something. So I'm possibly being unfair to the male owners here.

Just met my first half-witted man with an off-lead Alsatian, and it's not even mid-day yet.
Alsatians are great dogs if they're well looked after, but they're often partnered with the kind of unshaven, perma-hungover bloke you wouldn't trust with a simple task, let alone ask to train a dog.

Well, in the end I was feeling a bit insomniac. Went out for another smoke. Little fucker spotted me and started barking again. I mean, I'm no fan of dogs (was hospitalised by an alsatian as a kid) but I never did anything to upset the little bastard. Apart from exist.

I think you can make a case for France, which was happy to treat Alsatian Germans as French provided their politics were correct.

In my world, few wines withstand 14 and up. One the best of them is Alsatian.

When he’s like this I notice he washes his back legs a lot more, and sleeps with them outstretched. I inherited an elderly Alsatian who did that, but it made her progressively more aggressive and had to be put to sleep in the end.
