This is true across the board. Social media’s promise of access to fans / a marketplace for creators has been revealed as fragile and conditional. We need to own our own contact lists, and all need to join others. It’s a return to the days of sending a postcard to 3 Alveston Place, Leamington Spa.
It seems to me that as social media fragments & levels of dissatisfaction rise as well as platforms such as FB strangling any posts with an outside link then the best way to keep abreast of indie musician/labels news is to follow them on Bandcamp. That way you get news directly via community messages

For 9 successive evenings an Alveston ploughboy saw a dog run past him on his way home from work. The 9th time, a headless lady in a silk dress hurried past the boy. The following day he heard that his sister had died🧵

Currently staying at Alveston Manor for the wedding. It’s an absolutely stunning house!

Had a little walk into Stratford this morning, too. It’s always nice to see old buildings still being used for the benefit of the community.

It was great to be the Alveston Family Village Fair in the company of local councillor, Tony Williams. I’m afraid my axe throwing skills haven’t improved….

Det er mykje ein kunne seie om nittitalet, men på nittitalet kunne du klyppe ut denne kupongen og sende han til kontoret Official Oasis Information Network, og dét er unekteleg litt sött.

Eels in England are often associated w/ the Fens, but they were everywhere. And they were used to pay rent all over medieval England.

In 1086, 3 mills in the Warwickshire village of Alveston owed the Bishop of Worcester a rent of 1,012 sticks of eels each year -- 25,300 eels.
