#Amerindian
Gamers will look at a playable monster race inspired by African and Amerindian peoples, voiced by Black voice actors, whose in-game religion uses IRL African Diaspora / Amerindian deities, and their small atrophied brains refuse to grasp that it's representing our heritage.

Allegedly an Amerindian treasure, my wife always served this holiday dish
for Sukkot…

Succotash is a classic side dish made with **corn** and **lima beans** (sometimes with extras like tomatoes, peppers, okra, and bacon or salt pork). Many recipes are ready in about **under 30 minutes** and you can use fresh or frozen vegetables depending on the season. duckduckgo.com?q=succotash+...

My one really "woke" academic take is that when teaching the history of U.S. foreign policy, a very large chunk of it should be about the early republic's interactions with Amerindian polities.
If you want a non-joking answer, I don't 100% buy the Afropessimist argument that all American racial hierarchy works backwards from "sucks to be black," particularly due to the social-legal-diplomatic sorta domestic policy but sorta foreign policy stuff with the Natives but the case is nontrivial.

972 years ago, on the 10th of July 1054, Chinese Song dynasty, Arab and possibly Amerindian observers witnessed the SN 1054 supernova. It could be seen for several months and it’s remnants are now the Crab Nebula. Chaco Canyon petroglyphs in New Mexico may represent SN 1054. #otd #history 🗃️

I'm writing an episode on the Amerindian slave trade in the colonies in the early 18th century and it never ceases to amaze me that there are, like, newspapers and archives and piles of documents that you can look at to tell you about that world. It's a mindfuck for an ancient historian.

Thinking about how so much of the world's staple dishes are post colonial.

Jewish latkes, Indian samosas, Polish pierogi, would not exist without the Amerindian potato.

Italian bolognese sauce, West African jollof, many a curry would not exist without the Amerindian tomato.

Where the Shore Remembers

Turns out the coastline has been carrying her long before she thought to carry it back, and neither of them seems particularly surprised about that.

THE NEVERENDING STORY's weird Native American elements make a lot more sense when you remember that the story was written by a German, Michael Ende

Atreyu's a riff on Karl May's massively popular novels about "Winnetou," an Amerindian noble-savage type

Nazis loved Karl May, but Ende was anti-Nazi!

this reminds me of when the term "amerindian" was being thrown around. Absolutely no one who was native asked for it, no one liked it, and no one used it.
