I'm asking because a transfusion with whole blood nearly killed my mother, as the clash between her white blood cells and those in the donor blood lead to anaphylaxis.

Over 1000 children removed from Canberra allergy clinic despite anaphylaxis
Still open: Why were children with anaphylaxis removed when that condition is a key criterion for specialist allergy services?

This reminds me of when I went in for testing and she was like “um, it appears you’re in low level anaphylaxis!” And gave me many medications and started Xolair.

Seriously, cannot recommend Xolair injections enough. Life changing. I still also take every antihistamine known to man, but it helps!

my nephew has this, but it's not like anaphylaxis or anything, more like excessive reliance on fava beans in his diet could lead to anemia. so he just avoids them altogether, but it's always been explained to me as a slow-moving problem.

Europeans, what do you think of this story of greed coming out of Virginia?

An uninsured woman in Virginia was experiencing anaphylaxis shock after a wasp sting. A Virginia Urgent Care asked for large payment from her before an EpiPen would be administered.

🚨Anaphylaxis is a life-threatening emergency. If someone experiences signs of an allergic reaction following a peptide injection, call 911 immediately and administer epinephrine (such as an EpiPen) if available.

This too. But like it’s not the same level as anaphylaxis or the danger glutening poses to a celiac person

Are there enough doctors anywhere to handle same day or next day ? I recently had an ER experience. I was seen immediately- why ? Acute Anaphylaxis. I think it really depends on how serious the condition is. Yes, it’s imperfect.

I do not have that and ime most people who think they do don't. I thought i did for a hot minute but I'm just sensitive to the absolute nonsense amount of chemicals needed to grow russet potatoes.

I do, however, have mcas, which sometimes manifests as low grade anaphylaxis.

Actively in anaphylaxis for two days now and barely warding it off with meds. If I don't make it out of this alive, I love y'all.

Several illnesses have been grouped into the diagnostic category of #ME
Chronic fatigue+fibromyalgia have some symptoms-maybe they’re milder forms?
What they are not is the full-blown immunological and neurological condition which causes anaphylaxis/MCAS, PEM, POTS, gastroparesis, disability+death

Thank goodness that isn’t the case HOWEVER dunking your junk in a severe allergen sounds by far like the absolute worst way to induce anaphylaxis

Cursed botox headache is better but I'm still super exhausted and something is giving me a mild anaphylaxis reaction so I guess I'm taking more Benadryl and drinking so much water I may float away.
