Interested in the great sea reptiles of the Age of Dinosaurs? My NHM London book #AncientSeaReptiles covers what we know of the diversity, evolution and biology of these amazing animals. It's a fast moving field and many parts of the book are already in need of update! #books

Despite containing the Cedar Hill Museum inside, the new Traphene Hickman Library didn’t have any books on prehistoric sea life, so I donated a copy of @tetzoo.bsky.social’s #AncientSeaReptiles! I also wrote a review of the book, which you can read here:

Something else picked up at #DinoConUK 2026... massive thanks to the excellent Haidar Jaffri for gifting me his really nice Loch Ness Monster image. Haidar did the cover art for the UK edition of my book #AncientSeaReptiles and also has a section in #MesozoicArtII

Thanks to everyone who came to my #AncientSeaReptiles talk at Bournemouth Natural Science Society today (all but ONE of my books sold). Here's me doing a bit of #DinoCon promotion :)

The Japanese edition of my #AncientSeaReptiles has arrived, and it's great. It's a new version for 2025, so contains changes and images not yet featured in English editions. It has great design features (like the art on the cover boards). I'll be bringing a copy to #DinoConUk :)

For #FossilFriday, here's a chance if you're a #DinoCon vendor, speaker or presenter to show or tell what you're doing there (Hilton Birmingham Metropole, July 25th-26th). I'm speaking marine reptiles, and selling #AncientSeaReptiles and my new CROCODYLOMORPH EMPIRE poster...

Once again, massive thanks to everyone who bought #AncientSeaReptiles, still on sale in some places (but generally selling out). Last year I gave numerous talks related to the contents of this book. This year, things are different in that the talks are spin-offs and concern more >specific< topics.

Yes, it's discussed in my book #AncientSeaReptiles

I'm biased, but the only book that does a good job of covering plesiosaur diversity (with illustrations of all the groups) is my #AncientSeaReptiles - it has JUST gone to third edition and I believe is available now (if not, in a few weeks). It might be hard to get outside of the UK though.
