Definitely collabs with other people (like the animon adventure I did)! Maybe a super robot game, if I feel the inspiration. But I am pretty dedicated to BREAK!! and I like working off that framework for the most part.

There's a few games and modules made basically for this specifically. Obviously you have a lot of teen dramas, but also some for younger kids too. I know there's some Call of Cthulhu modules with reworked skill lists for kid characters, and I'll shill for Animon Story too, which pulls from Digimon

when all the Holoken stop working and the Animon go rogue, you'd expect the guy who can communicate with Animon and doesn't NEED a Holoken to work with them to save the day

it's REALLY easy to get way overlevelled just trying to find every Animon, even with the caps the game has in place
by the end of the game i found myself being 30 levels above the final boss. which is weird, because there ARE fights that scale with your level, but they're relegated to sidequests

this makes it easy to get pointlessly lost when you could've just made a fog-of-war type map
it ALSO means you can't see which Animon spawn in the area, meaning you can miss a couple important rare spawns bc you wouldn't know to grind for them
