Picked this Ansco up for a friend during the swap meet last weekend and I’ll be damned if it isn’t one of the nicest postwar American cameras I’ve ever seen. Shame about the triplet lens, if it was a properly nice Tessar or (as if) a planar type I’d be keeping it for myself!

holy moly. i got some of the same film but 127 format and i did it up in Df96 monobath for about 3 minutes at 80 and it actually looks like it came out pretty good, i might try that on the Ansco plenachrome when I get a reel for that. I still wish I knew what this film actually was

has anyone else seen this 620 film? it only had 8 shots, no brand or date, and i probably shouldn't have licked the seal because it had this perfumey taste and smell, it smelled and tasted like the last letter a soldier received before dying on iwo jima or something.gnna see if this turns out at all
yellowed old lick and stick seal that says "PAN - MADE IN U.S.A. EXPOSED" with Name and ADDRESS fields black backing paper to 620 film with a weird converging cross symbol on it i don't think i've seen on any 120 film and some silver area that says "620 EXPOSED"" and "FOLD UNDER HERE" in black lettering foil packet the film came in that just said "620 BLACK & WHITE"

Earlier Soviet flights went up with a 35mm cine camera.

Got my hands on an Ansco 2A camera today from the 1920s! Doesn't work perfectly, definitely needs a little repair so the shutter opens and closes cleanly but hey $20 is a decent deal!
