This a completely normal aircraft flying in a straight line at constant speed. Red and green wing lights, flashing anticollision light, nose and tail lights. Normal. Probably a passenger jet.

one that don't give a fuck about the FAA rules? (maybe the video quality/distortion) Left Wingtip (port) should be Red, Right Wingtip (starboard) should be Green, White light on the tail (aft). Maybe have a lot of extra landing lights/anticollision lights on and it's washing out their nav lights?

And as a point of clarification, the red/green lights are navigation lights, the flashing white light is the anticollision, and a circular red light is for manned aircraft in operation

its pretty obviously a fixed wing platform with anticollision beacons and position lights.... wings, tail, fuselage... it may be a drone w no transponder or the Mayor might not be telling the straight story... there is no regulation of drones beyond fed requirements, no enforcement...

There were 2 aircraft within theoretical visual range at that time, neither of which were moving the way the object was. If you follow me at all you know I watch a lot of aircraft, and I don't think this was one. Too fast, too bright, and no anticollision flashing.

Please be normal about this but I saw this in the sky last night and it was the first time I've ever not known what a light in the sky is. I'm assuming these are just funky anticollision strobes on a military formation to Hawaii or an offshore practice area, but the flash sequence is super weird.

My only concern with these coming changes is I think some of the tunnelling stuff went a little overboard. I don't think we need ALL of that for antitunnel; Elusive and off-hook anticollision is more than enough.

I don't know got the Blackhawk is equipped. There are TCAS anticollision systems on airliners that communicate and order climbs and descents, but I've no idea how this sort of helicopter is equipped. In any case, the final authority is given to the principle of "see and avoid".
