#Anticonvulsants
Picked up one of my anticonvulsants. 90 day supply. $3,000. And we are well insured. This country is insane. Note: That is $3,000 out of our pocket, after insurance.

Dog anticonvulsants are the new horse tranquillisers

Ive been thinking about how physicians treat fat patients since my neurologist told me I HAD to change the anticonvulsants that work the best for my kind of epilepsy/Ive been on 30 yrs because of weight gain. He just completely ignored my concerns about changing meds as I recover from my mums death.
I have struggled to get competent healthcare my entire life, across my lifetime's various income brackets.

GLP-1s are the first and ONLY drug that every doctor, NP, phlebotomist, facialist have pushed on me. No info-seeking from me. No appointment. Just constant offers to give me GLP-1s.
Walk into an urgent care and you have to opt out of a GLP-1 conversation katemanne.substack.com/p/a-woman-wa...

Having epilepsy and finding out just how little doctors know about any of it has been such a trip.

You’ve got ghosts in your brain. Do some anticonvulsants about it.

I need everyone to understand that any medication for the brain is critical. Antidepressants, anticonvulsants, ADHD medication, migraine preventives, you name it it's as important as heart medication.

Literally begging people to stop doing this. I live alone, have a chronic illness and crap executive function partly owing to the anticonvulsants I take; and fairly severe fatigue. Stop using your experience of disability to imply that other disabled people who don’t do as much as you are just lazy.
I don’t make much money and my wife is paraplegic. We both cook and clean. It is comparatively much easier to do that now than at most times in the past.

Guy who on every birthday allows one spider to bite him, hoping to gain superpowers.

At 46 years old he has experienced renal failure multiple times, has lost several fingers, and requires a hefty regimen of anticonvulsants to stop the seizures.

Maybe 47 will be his year.

my dog's anticonvulsants already cost $120/mo lmao
"We are going to be announcing shortly a major tariff on pharmaceuticals," Trump says.

People need to understand how much this man hates disabled and sick people.
Because, Bobby, you overtanned nepobaby, how do you propose I ‘fix’ my epilepsy with ‘something outside’ and not anticonvulsants?
This attitude will get people killed.

As a person with chronic migraine who has taken medicines originally meant as antidepressants, antipsychotics, anticonvulsants, beta blockers, NSAIDs, SNRIs, triptans… yeah I’m not surprised at all.

don't take anticonvulsants: excruciating pain, mobility impairment

do take anticonvulsants: brain is mushy, time is wooshy

Do You See My Issue

And the interesting thing about *this* is that you can accomplish saccadic disruption pharmaceutically.

Anticonvulsants, anticholinergics, benzodiazepines, antipsychotics, all affect oculomotor function in various ways.

I have always taken anticonvulsants to stay alive and until RFKjr that wasn't an issue.
lol my dad is still furious at the notion that HRT is a permanent fixture

"So you're telling me you're gonna be taking this stuff for a few years?"
"No. Forever."
"So what you're just gonna be taking drugs and popping pills until you DIE???"
"yeahg it makes me feel good and want to live :)"

also so ableist. my life depends on anticonvulsants. i am not a criminal because i need seizure meds. criticizing people and demanding individual action and not collective action regarding the system that fails us all is actually a v liberal take for so-called radicals.

anticonvulsants working for other brain problems, not a bug - it's a feature

So, as I understand it, my patriotic duty is not to have epilepsy and therefore not need anticonvulsants. Okay. You think it's patriotic to throw me into status epilepticus and kill me when I follow your advice and don't take them.

Oz, your patriotic duty is to not be a fucking moron. Resign. 😠

Kitty hasn't had a seizure in over SIX MONTHS!

I started cooking more of his meals and giving him fruit and veggies for treats.
(Certain additives cause seizures in epileptic dogs)

He's taking anticonvulsants prescribed by his veterinarian, but l'm also giving him herbal remedies.
