In #Yoruba culture:
The #Aproko (Social Commentator) should 😞honestly conclude: Modern #Africa to mean Afiri ika", translation: "A glimpse of #wickedness or cruelty" or "A faintly cruel or wicked place."

En la #cultura #yoruba : El #Aproko (comentarista social) debería concluir honestamente: África moderna significa "Afrii ika", que se traduce como "un atisbo de maldad o crueldad" o "un lugar ligeramente cruel o perverso". Octubre de 2026

"Atheist Reacts: Maureen Badejo, Funke Ashekun: Why the Drama? — where is the Accountability?"

ATHEIST REACTS: MAUREEN BADEJO, FUNKE ASHEKUN: WHY THE DRAMA? — WHERE IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY?
As an atheist, I’m stepping into the middle of a very public YouTube drama involving Christian bloggers Maureen Badejo and Funke Ashekun, alongside Aproko With Cruise and Auntie Adunni Talk Show. I’m not here to take sides, insult anyone, or attack Christianity. I want to examine the words, claims and accusations being made and ask some uncomfortable questions about accountability, evidence and Christian conduct online. When serious allegations are made, where is the evidence? When accusations are challenged, is there room for reflection and accountability? And when followers repeat or amplify accusations, where does legitimate criticism end and potentially harmful or hateful speech begin? I’ll be looking at this from an atheist perspective—not to defend one person or destroy another, but to ask whether the standards we expect from religious leaders and believers should also apply to religious commentators and bloggers. This is about the claims, the evidence and the wider conversation—not personal attacks. Come and join the discussion. Let’s disagree respectfully, think critically and hold everyone to the same standard. #maureenbadejo #funkeashekun #aproko #auntieadunni #atheistperspective #christianity #accountability #youtubedrama #religion #criticalthinking

Aproko Doctor says his wife did not match his physical ‘spec’
Nigerian health influencer Aproko Doctor has said that his wife, Amaka Egemba, did not match the physical qualities he once imagined he wanted in a partner. Speaking in an interview, Aproko Doctor described the idea of having a rigid “spec” as overrated, explaining that the qualities that ultimately mattered to him went far beyond physical appearance. He revealed that, before meeting his wife, he had envisioned someone who was already “made” and tall, partly because he had thought ahead about his future children. However, he said his perspective changed as he got to know Amaka.

The perfect picture for what Nigerians call “longa throat,” I.e. someone who is greedy or craves other people’s food. Or “aproko,” someone who doesn’t mind their business.
