Ever just get Really Bored and, instead of focusing on work that needs doing, you look up the Behind-the-Scenes special on the making of the old "HBO Feature Presentation" logo?
No?
Just me?

Can confirm Gen-X core memory goosebumps engaged as soon as the theme started
Also, that model, even the HBO logo itself was quite the work of art

When I was a kid the couple of times I caught this I was way more into the miniature city aspect of it but as an adult it’s the fact that the flying, hyperspace-filled HBO logo was a physical object that I find most fascinating

This is pretty neat. A making of video about the old 80s HBO feature presentation intro. I was today years old when I learned that the flying HBO logo was a practical effect

Absolutely riveted by this BTS reel from 1982.
I can't imagine a brand spending this kind of time, effort, and $$ on a package element today, and all HBO got for their troubles is an iconic piece of footage that folks my age are still obsessed by 40 years later ...

Like, there's a whole ass docu-short/behind the scenes/making-of the old HBO intro that they used to air in between movies, and I must have watched it dozens of times back in the day. That's how goofy we were for it.
