Ok, Canadian illustrators... game on: can you create a contemporary, inclusive, 🍁 version of this Ding Darling classic? (or maybe @tomflood.bsky.social already has?)

It's 104 years since J.N. "Ding" Darling published this cartoon about situation people, and especially children, find themselves in while trying to cycle safely.

Sadly the same attitudes persist today.

Safe cycling infrastructure is better for everyone, whether you are cycling, driving or on foot.
Two panel cartoon with the heading at the top reading "...By the way, how about a place in the sun for the small boy with a bicycle?" The first panel shows a boy riding a bicycle on the road. An irate man in a passing car yells at him "Get off the road there - do you want to get killed!?" The second panel shows a boy on a bicycle on a footpath. An irate man grabs him by the arm yelling "Don't you know it's against the law to ride on the sidewalk?!" A passing woman says to a police officer "It's about time these young rascals were taught to respect the law."
