SS Ascania - a Cunard Line ship built in 1911 and lost having run aground off Nova Scotia in 1918. All passengers and crew were saved but the ship could not be salvaged.

Bonsoir Bluesky, (TW: pb de bourge du 5eme) depuis 2019 je suis inconsolable car Dalloyau a radicalement changé la recette de mon gâteau d’anniversaire : l’échiquier.

Pendant 2 ans j’ai réussi à leur faire refaire la recette en commande spéciale mais depuis je navigue à vue…
Une part d’échiquier prise en photo par le blog du tribunal des Gâteaux, une genoise et trois mousses aux trois chocolats avec un dessus qui ressemble à un échiquier.

The Duchy of Anhalt became the Free State of Anhalt during the German revolution of 1918–1919. The ruling House of Ascania abdicated peacefully, and a constitutional assembly was elected which drew up a republican constitution for Anhalt as a member state of the Weimar Republic. Throughout most of the Republic's fourteen-year life, the Social Democratic Party was the dominant political force in Anhalt, and it saw relatively little of the violence that flared up in other parts of Weimar-era Germany.
