Yellow wildflowers are ubiquitous in Iowa. They're all remarkably similar & most are members of the Asteraceae family.

An ID app suggests this is cutleaf coneflower (Rudbeckia laciniata), a new species for me. It looks a lot like wingstem (Verbesina alternifolia), imo.
