Right from the very start, implied by their lore, name & being an AST for my MSQ play-through, Aysel's always been celestial-themed. They started out lavender but their design now very much reflects this lol.
Aysel's name is Turkish for "moon flood, flood of moonlight"

FFXIV is an ongoing storyline, therefore Aysel's lore is always changing & adapting to new scenarios & information.

Easy: the implied canon fact there's only one WoL in the Source. I rewrote my canon to incorporate multiple at once so I could write people I love into my own story. 💕
Aysel is a OC whose entire existence depends upon their bonds with others, after all.

Aysel wasn’t intended to be a self-insert but they kinda sorta are? They’re me, but without the burden of feeling the compulsion to analyze or police their behavior all the time. They’re more naive.
IE they’re anxious but unaware, despair without restraint, etc.
