As I said on GB News yesterday, "I don't go with the consensus that Trump is going to get smashed."
It's this sort of astute political insight that would make me a brilliant Prime Minister.

Friend just made an astute observation.

Nearly 0 representation or voices of Muslim and Arab Americans on cable news during the past month as our communities faced unprecedented hate from Trump and the GOP.

Turek has the highest favorability of any battleground state candidate. Saying he’s not “politically astute” is INSANE.

Politically astute as ever from Farage.

Ed has written an interesting and rather astute thread on the Green party and it’s current issues
It seems war is coming to the Green Party.

This war is a familiar one. Something similar (but not quite the same) played out in the Labour party in 2015-2019.
The dominant liberal tendency in the Green Party has been supplanted by the socialist tendency and they aren't going to take it laying down.

Astute stuff here from Caroline Voaden.
Liberal England: Caroline Voaden on what Shovegate tells us about Nigel Farage

Farage's aversion to spending time in parliament means that he will go into the next election with very little knowledge about how the place works, how to leverage its power and what lies behind its traditions.
Caroline Voaden on what Shovegate tells us about Nigel Farage
Writing in the Guardian, Caroline Voaden tells us what really happened in the Commons altercation that Nigel Farage later used as his excus...

astute, funny, and then incredibly beautiful.
New, on Heat Death! @saulelbein.bsky.social in from the top rope with an essay on The Great Texas Flip, and the long parade of GOP infamies, cruelties, arrogance, and hubris that led to me turning up at his front door at midnight, grinning and asking for a shot of whisky

To be clear, I can think:

1. Josh Turek has said abhorrent things about trans people
2. Josh Turek is not very politically astute
3. Josh Turek would be a crappy senator
4. You are morally obligated to vote for whoever most increases the likelihood of a Dem Senate

These are all compatible beliefs!
i personally would vote turek but at the same time you can't denegrate your own voters and expect them to vote for you.... if he loses it's gonna be Turek's own fault imo
