Le Maire de Laon Eric Delhaye était en visite ce matin sur la plateforme de Descours et Cabaud à Athies-sous-Laon dans l'Aisne. Cette plateforme accompagne les professionnels du bâtiment (Prolians) et emploie une quarantaine d’employés sur le site. Le Maire a évoqué à cette occasion les projets du groupe et les enjeux du fret ferroviaire pour l’approvisionnement de l’usine. Cette usine est embranchée et permet de recevoir / expédier des matériaux et matières premières.

#OTD in 1917, L/Cpl George Henry Siviter of Blackheath, Staffs was killed whilst serving in positions around Fampoux with 1st Bn Royal Warks Regt. He was buried somewhere in Athies Communal Cemetery Extension, the exact location unknown. George was 30 and left behind widow Emily and 3 daughters.
