I've yet to hear anyone with politics to right of the median Age reader say what Jacinta Allen has *done* that pisses them off, let alone to this extent. (Lots of post hoc rationalisations, but nobody actually changes their vote over public debt. And the "Piss Off Ausnet" crew were already off-side)

Smelt gas leaking from my neighbour's meter. Shut it off, told my neighbour, called AusNet. They came and replaced the regulator within two hours. Very impressed. It's a good feeling when one of the vastly complex systems we live in works exactly as intended for a change!

Almost afraid to tell the missus that the scheduled power outage doesn't seem to be happening. She *really* didn't want to WFO today.

Anyway thanks for the service Ausnet.

Anyway, since I moved to where I live now we’ve several multi-day blackouts so it seemed prudent to buy a generator for things like hot water and the fridge. There’s an AusNet outage today so I’m using it for the first time and it’s only exacerbated my “somebody check the bloody genny” condition

Ausnet messed around with the power lines today. Came home to fire service near (but not at) my house. Now, no cable internet (the presence of firies and this seems connected). Of course NBNCo outage site says no outages, so was stuck in chat hell with service provided support person.

Why is Ausnet advertising at all? They have regulated income and a fixed customer base.
