Hallman, USA Today bestselling authors *****Book review***** >Annoying MCs< I can't find reason to like either of them. Damon Rossi and Keira are annoying, to say the least. She seems to have next to zero self-preservation, and he's a jerk. And don't get me started on the dropping of the "L" word after she had to practically talk herself into being intimate with him. Sure, this is a dark romance. I expected him to be an antihero, but if he had turned up unalived, I wouldn't have missed him. Things get mildly better as the story progresses but not enough to win me over. As much as I love steamy scenes, not even those could change my opinion. On a positive note, I do like the covers for the ebook series. I read along with the audio book. The narrators, Austin Rising and Heather Firth, do a good job even if the book didn't work for me.
