I just filled in the form for my UK State Pension. So, maybe I'll call myself an #old autistic person. Should I use #AutisticElder or start a trend for #AutisticElderly? There are a lot of us around. 😄

Long ago I joined Mensa in order to meet intelligent men. At my first meeting, I noticed the prevalence of social awkwardness and I thought, "These are my people." I didn't know about autism then.

I am picking up my hearing aid today. I have had Meniere’s in my left ear for 22years.
My hearing loss is fairly mild, but when it’s in, the nonstop ringing goes away mostly.
Having hyperacusis *and* hearing loss leads to weird hearing issues.

With the increasing age that we will be able to claim a state pension, perhaps #AutisticElderly covers future rises?? However, I do like the term #AutisticElder as a general term for older autistic people, sounds grand and wise 😁

This #AutisticElder had a tough day. School in-service training. I asked clarifying questions regarding restraint and seclusion, because I needed to understand if they meant “spirit of the law,” as opposed to the letter. Because I always choose letter. I’m always wrong.
