Also, the likelihood Trump tries another autogolpe is not a good reason to doom, because doing an autogolpe under such extreme unpopularity against another branch of government whose majorities were elected in a massive wave election is an excellent way to commit regime suicide, not become dictator.
You know the national environment looks pretty good for Democrats when the dooming on here shifts from “the GOP will just cheat its way to victory or cancel elections” to “the Dems may control congress by January, but that just means the executive is about to go ballistic.”
