Motion to rebrand DIY domestic sustainability and autonomy practices as anything other than fucking "homesteading"

That lawyer violated her autonomy with that bullshit.
October 30, 2026 at 8:38 PM
Absolutely 💯 True….

“Only supporting abortion in instances of rape or incest reinforces the idea that in order for you to have the right to body autonomy, someone else has to violate you first.”

And we're still fighting for equality and body autonomy.

@radtranslib.bsky.social centers liberalism on autonomy, and the role equality plays in actualizing autonomy. Real autonomy, and real liberalism, means securing the *practical*--not merely procedural--realization of our capabilities.
The Politics of Equality, the Politics of Autonomy
We must refocus on our core principles, and then organize politically in order to close the gap between them and our society, laws, and culture as they currently are.

The people complaining about "creeping sharia law" in the west are not upset about the draconian conservative religious restrictions on human autonomy.

They are upset that it's not their flavor of draconian conservative religious restrictions on human autonomy that are being imposed.
Conservative Christians are like, "We must oppose Islam because Muslims oppress women and force you to practice their religion. That's evil. Also please support our bill to require every woman and girl submit to a mandatory genital inspection by a man, but it's totally to make sports fair.

For a while the autonomy held but it just collapsed, overnight.

The votes initially haven’t been there for a lot of things (ending slavery, women’s right to vote, interracial marriage, bodily autonomy, same sex marriage, etc.) but we did the fucking thing anyways because IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO
Kamala Harris: I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea.

I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren’t there.

I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done…

It seems the UN mission will be dying since the US vetoed the other Russian resolution but the autonomy framework does not advance.
October 30, 2026 at 9:13 PM
Voters can’t make their choices on one issue?

Fuckin watch me.

Also, bodily autonomy is not “one issue.” It’s every issue.

He wasn’t bitter about Stolas choosing duty over love years ago. He respects Stolas’s autonomy & right to choose his own path.

“Autonomy means that a child may choose not to take up the family trade, that a person may join a different church than what they were born to. Autonomy means that a person has sovereignty over the very body itself—whether that is to wear an outfit, to terminate a pregnancy, or to change a gender.”
The Politics of Equality, the Politics of Autonomy
We must refocus on our core principles, and then organize politically in order to close the gap between them and our society, laws, and culture as they currently are.

A dumb resolution to scale down the UN peacekeeping mission in the Western Sahara and impose the 'autonomy' framework onto the Sahrawi as the only basis for negotiations. It's wildly tilted towards Morocco.
sorry to be contextjak, but what terrible thing did we put forward about western sahara your post is the first ive heard

Bodily autonomy means the freedom to choose. I support her decision.

Ziggy is pro-bodily autonomy, he’d love to have a little more sometimes. So would I. Anyway, Happy Halloween!
October 31, 2026 at 2:39 PM
yeah Americans are really weird about giving children any autonomy whatsoever
October 31, 2026 at 4:39 AM
Enoch Burke’s “deeply held Christian beliefs” apparently do not extend to respecting a bishop’s right to bodily autonomy…
October 31, 2026 at 1:27 AM
autonomy not flesh
October 26, 2026 at 10:37 PM
the political institutions" but, again, the most successful rhetorical strategy has been to talk about the economy and to discuss things in terms of individual freedoms / bodily autonomy. the anglosphere does not respond affirmatively to arguments around shared morals or civic values.
October 31, 2026 at 12:59 AM
Not to mention body autonomy for women
October 29, 2026 at 5:05 PM
Less autonomy than a cat
