-Guns/ppl being shot
-Breaking glass
-Choking/throttling
-Dead/imperiled children
- Religion
- Alcohol
- Smoking
- Nudity
- Drugs
- Someone getting punched.

And yes, NO ONE was punched in B:TAS. What you saw was the wind-up, a white flash, and someone reeling back. Nothing connected. Go re-watch!

The biggest praise I had for del Toro’s Nightmare Alley is that it felt like a B:TAS two parter about a villain called The Mentalist

Personal opinion: 'The Big O' is one of the best looking anime of all time. The decision + execution integrating premise and visual aspects from B:TAS was unparalleled and we've never come close to an anime that beautiful in decades

Let's talk about maybe the best episode of B:TAS.
What happens when Batman's rogues gallery plays poker together? They tell stories about their greatest foe! @lanpitts.bsky.social joins us for this series of vignettes told by the Bat's villains (and Killer Croc, who just threw a rock at 'im.)

There is an episode of B:TAS where the joker kills or drives insane multiple people because he is not alloyed to patent the rights to "Joker Fish", a fish that he invented by poisioning the supply of fish off the eastern seaboard
Not enough scorn being poured on the idea that the reason why the Joker dons clown make-up and commits crimes is 'wealth disparities'.

this whole scene in b:tas episode "mean seasons" is crazy. this animation! the nuance and the detail in the movement making me go feral (in the most absolute positive way).

Like Bruce in the first episode of B:TAS, we see Jor-El bleeding. Dramatic, unexpected, especially since his face looks so much like his son's

B:TAS actually doing Condiment King is genuinely incredible

95% of all people's idea of Batman is (imo) a combination of the B:TAS intro, everything downstream of DKR, and that one line in Justice League where Flash asks him what his superpower is and Batfleck just says "I'm Rich"

Mine was B:TAS 'Tyger, Tyger'.
You have to wonder tho!
Similar to looking back and understanding SWAT Cats and Gargoyles and their ilk were the plurality of awakenings, but then remembering Rocko's Modern Life and AAA! Real Monsters was on at the same time.

Not just that, but B:TAS is a direct response to the "more lines are better" design of most 80s toy cartoons that made them impossible to animate.
Bruce Timm isn't a 100% perfect character designer, but he'll always have my respect for looking at the pockets, guns and muscle-filled early '90s and saying "A superhero shouldn't take more than 5 lines to draw."

Probably the best animation in the entire series, across B:TAS and TNBA.
The Batman: The Animated Series episode "Feat of Clay, Part 2" debuted on this day (Sept. 9) in 1992. Graced with incredible animation by TMS, along with a gripping script, Clayface's two-part origin story wraps as Batman faces off against the classic Bat-foe! #BatmanTAS #Batman
