#BBCWorldService is IMO essential for similar reasons worldwide. #BBC c40% public funding cuts have led to axing of #BBCArabic+BBCPersian radio (crazy IMO). BBC Director General Tim Davie recently admitted that #Russian #media has taken ex-BBCArabic frequency in #Lebanon+is broadcasting propaganda.
