Break out your I&I players for @BBCRadioScot where at 4:50 I just did an interview about my old boss Bob Iger and the US Ambassador to France's son Josh Kushner buying LA Lakers for $12.5b. And no, I wasn't asked if I had a spare bill or two to join in as a minority owner...

I’m looking back at Nicola Sturgeon’s career on @BBCRadioScot at 5pm.

It’s a footnote really, but I was always surprised how difficult even the best cartoonists found it to satirise her without retreating into boring national stereotypes. Eg this from Steve Bell.

As Nicola Sturgeon steps down from Holyrood I’ll be on @BBCRadioScot tonight at 5pm assessing her legacy.

What are your thoughts on Scotland’s first female First Minister & her remarkable career?

I've always treasured the Iain Anderson show on #BBCRadioScot. It's a diamond in the dust and I'd be lost without it.

The show has been unceremoniously axed and, yet, it single handedly justifies the licence fee.

I turned more to BBCRadioScot Good Morning Scotland some years ago, favouring its bracing interviews & regional insights over an increasingly supine Radio 4 Today. It could never match Today’s cultural range, but the journalists were so smart.
The replacement programme is poor

As the Austrian writer, philosopher and cultural critic Ernst Fischer one observed “entertainment doesn’t mean silliness any more than serious art means boredom”. In short, it means you can make weighty subjects accessible with the proper approach. @BBCRadioScot take note
