In BC the College of Physicians And Surgeons of BC is the licencing body and the org that upholds professional standards (Discipline for all specialties). BCCFP is a register of Family Physicians and does not licence. DofBC is a prof assn best thought of as a union or negotiating body.

Along with @cfpc-cmfc.bsky.social we submitted to the BC Ministry of Health on proposed scope of practice changes under the HPOA. We support all health professionals working to the top of their scope, but expansion is not a substitute for sustainable system design.

A frustrating collection of orgs to try and deal with. I held a BC licence for 30 years and did not belong to either D of BC or the College of Fam Phy of Canada (who certify Fam docs)(and who track CME credits for CPSBC (for $$$). I'm not even sure what the BCCFP do, but it doesn't seem to be much.

Death by 1000 paper cuts... this is a small selection of the zillion different referral/investigation forms in my emr.

A separate one for every org??

Provincial & HA standard forms would improve GP efficiency.
