The NDP faced a day of snap election questions and arguably their top minister calling it quits.

The Conservatives had a day of former rivals holding hands and the party as energized as its been in months.

Elections aren't won on the first day, but it's one the opposition is happy with.

The reason the NDP blew it was they kept moving further to the middle and even toward the right on some issues. It eroded their support and weakened them so the Conservatives could make big gains. The NDP just doesn't learn #bcpoli #bcvotes #BCNDP
