It re-centers asexuals in the actual asexual flag. The intimacies and love and grey spectrum we experience are true and validated. Multicultural and intersectional experiences are listened to, rather than telling BIPOC, trans, disabled, other minority aces to “just focus on what we have in common.”

I get this too! I just this week had to block someone in the ace community that I’d heard before had been rude to BIPOC aces and proved it right in their interaction with me. It was so disheartening.

I got to work with Temple Grandin super briefly on an autism society strategy thing, and on terminology I remember her saying “the problem with calling autism a spectrum is it implies everything else is not”
