New distance marker signs on the Boyne Valley to Lakelands Greenway looking good! Great to see these all the way from Navan to Kingscourt (with details in both English and Irish) #BVLGreenway
Good to see new signage on the #BVLGreenway in Navan. The greenway is open 2 years (4 in some parts), yet only now getting signage (wasn't TII funded) @irishcycle.com
But I don't know why they can't get the name right. This is the 'Boyne Valley to Lakelands Greenway', not 'Boyne Valley Greenway' 🤷♂️

New ‘Blackwater River, Navan Town Park Bridge & Cycleway’ unveiled. This will make it much more easier for pedestrians and cyclists to access Blackwater Park, coming from the town centre. It will also help to reduce vehicular congestion, as well as provide another link to the #BVLGreenway

Works are still ongoing, and presumably the surface isn't quite finished, and we hope to see those poles moved back by the ESB!

Caution needed on the Boyne Valley to Lakelands Greenway, lots of trees down between Gibbstown-Wilkinstown, approx 10 in total. Easy to pick up a puncture too, best to avoid #BVLGreenway

This is shared path for pedestrians, cyclists and other wheel users. Technically it is part of the Boyne Valley to Lakelands Greenway, which according to the old plans, begins just outside Blackwater Park! (although these old plans had the path on the opposite side of the road) #BVLGreenway

For example, yes the South Kerry Greenway cost over €2m/km because it is literally going through mountains and over viaducts, whereas on the #BVLGreenway in Navan, there were complete 5-7km sections done on a budget of €1m or less as it was fairly straightforward (old rail line, flat, owned by IE).

Cavan County Council has secured half a million euro in funding for a Greenway Hub in Kingscourt to provide convenient and safe access to the popular 30km Boyne Valley to Lakelands Greenway.
