I read that BWI was really profitable for Piedmont, and no doubt it was.
But with USAir having hubs at PHL, PIT and, effectively, DCA they should have killed BWI.
Bought those 757s and built a BOS TATL gateway, for example. Look what CO was able to do at EWR a few years later.
