I will say as a large woman it is important to know how to backstitch repairs because I've lost count at how many times my inner thighs have ripped a new perineum window in a pair of jeans.

Last week I worked on a little seasonal freehand #embroidery. I drew up a chalk outline, did it in quick backstitch, and then picked colors I switched between at will as I went along with long and short stitch. I really like the black back for this! It was nice to have a small, easy project.

Honestly I ended up just sewing it by hand because I fucked up with the sewing machine like 15 times 😭😭😭😭 spaced backstitch will not fail me

Nice job! I am fucking terrible at satin stitches tbh. You might find a smaller needle helpful for a design that size, easier to see what you’re doing. I also personally find it easier to do my outline in a backstitch or chain stitch first.

It's cool, but it's very painstaking and difficult. I'm completely satisfied with the work I've done, but I don't plan on repeating this feat in the foreseeable future, haha. There is: cross-stitch, petits (quarters of a cross), French knots and backstitch.

Should have chosen a darker fabric colour to make the white pop more. It didn't stand out enough on rustico so I had to backstitch and my backstitching is terrible 😅
Just need to stick it on a card now.
