Oh right, the styles I have a master/instructor rank in are Piguaquan, Bajiquan, Xingyiquan, Subak, Taekkyeon, and Drunken Boxing. Regarding weapons, I'm a fencing instructor for the Miaodao and Tipao Sword. I've also practiced Baguazhang for 12 years now but definitely no master. It's very hard!

Ray should learn Baguazhang. It will help to bring more balance into her life—AND teach her a new way to fight 😅

It's been fun working my martial arts nerdery into Dark Science. All of Ling's moves, for example, are based specifically on Liang-style Baguazhang applications. I know because they were beaten into me when I trained in Beijing!

#QueerPrompts 5. Ashrah would teach a mixture of Baguazhang with spirituality. She wouldn't want many students, though. Just a couple who are truly interested in improving themselves and finding their balance.

#AwesomeCharacters No school in Arak'shiir, generally speaking. Ashrah learnt from life, though 16k years later, she does learn from Masters Nightwolf and Shujinko—mostly about Mystic Arts and Baguazhang, but the philosophy involved does make it go beyond that. 🧵

It's back-to-school time around here, which makes me wonder: how was your character educated?
Is there formal schooling where they are? Or were they trained in other ways?
What was it like? Did they enjoy it?

So I was thinking of Istrault's fighting style influencing all today.
🤔 So I figure it would be a bit of an odd mix:
-35% Leopard Style ( Bao Quan)
- 30% Baguazhang ( Eight Trigram Palm)
- 15% JKD (Jeet Kune Do)
- 10% Southern Dragon style ( Lung Ying)

#Mememay 18. Ashrah can info-dump about weapons and strategies to kill different creatures, the Mystic Arts and spirituality in general, and Baguazhang.
She won't info-dump unless she feels a level of camaraderie with you, though. But if she does, you may need to ask her to slow down sometimes x)

He should practice Baguazhang! It will bring him more internal balance, and with it, peace, *and* it will give him a unique way to defend himself against all those who wish him harm 😤

#SummerOfStories 25. Mostly video games. Sometimes drawing, too, though drawing has a tendency of frustrating me, too, thanks to my poor skills.
I guess I could include martial arts practice, too, particularly Baguazhang?
I'd love to learn to play the erhu, too, but... not there yet.
