Another great video on Baguazhang, but that applies to all internal martial arts as well:

He should practice Baguazhang! It will bring him more internal balance, and with it, peace, *and* it will give him a unique way to defend himself against all those who wish him harm 😤

Ray should learn Baguazhang. It will help to bring more balance into her life—AND teach her a new way to fight 😅

I practised Praying Mantis Kung Fu for a few years when I was younger, and now I'm practising Kung Fu again but more generally, without a specific style, Tai Chi, and my main focus, Baguazhang.

#AwesomeCharacters No school in Arak'shiir, generally speaking. Ashrah learnt from life, though 16k years later, she does learn from Masters Nightwolf and Shujinko—mostly about Mystic Arts and Baguazhang, but the philosophy involved does make it go beyond that. 🧵

Tell me about your #AwesomeCharacters

It's back-to-school time around here, which makes me wonder: how was your character educated?

Is there formal schooling where they are? Or were they trained in other ways?

What was it like? Did they enjoy it?

This instructor spent a year in a monastery in a mountain practising Baguazhang, then asked to go back there for another year when his teacher was less than impressed. Ashrah won't have time for this (and Shujinko is a far less harsh), but... this guy is the goat! Such a great finding!

I've been searching for a martial art that I could start practicing again. Just not as easy nowadays after the multiple back surgeries and leg jank lol.

Been heavily considering baguazhang. I love the movements and it would jive real well with my current study into Daoism ❤️

I've shared this video before, but it's such a cool performance and offers a glimpse of how AWESOME a moveset based on Bagua would be 🥺

One of the things that would excite me the most about playing my imaginary #ChroniclesOfTheRealms game, particularly from Game 2 onwards, is Ashrah's moveset based around Baguazhang. I keep thinking about it, and it would be so amazing.

First of all, it's very unique. I may be wrong, but I don't 🧵

... and "pushing" with your palm for a fireball, or as complex as multi-step Forms for advanced spells and rituals. Multiple spells can be chained into a single long Form as well. Martial arts Forms can also be used as spell Forms e.g. Ashrah integrating her Mystic Arts into Baguazhang. 🧵

And then Master Shujinko, an awesome SC from Book 2 who will be responsible for teaching Ashrah Baguazhang and about balance, and thus solidifying a lot of her inner growth. A tough but efficient master this one!
