Idk Rhodesians were in Malaya. The only reason I know anything about Malaya is the connection to Frank Kitson who brought his counter-insurgency principles for Malaya to N. Ireland. He ran One Para (Bloody Sunday and Ballymurphy Massacre) and created an undercover death squad etc. So evil.

In the year 1971, in Ballymurphy Belfast, British soldiers opened opened fire on Irish Civilians, killing 11 unarmed people. NONE of the British soldiers were ever charged or prosecuted for the massacre. Many of those murdered were simply attending to wounded civilians.

"Who wants to be defended, by an army that surrendered, when the kids of Ballymurphy came to play?"

Brilliant, those Irish playground songs are something else 😂

Can't wait for this wonderful idea to be pitched in the occupied 6 counties of Ireland...

I can just hear the kids now,

"God shag the king,
Send him onto the bed,
Bum him until he's dead..." 😂🤣😂

There was a real whiff of they were looking for it, and sure that's as bad as attacking peaceful marchers.

The Falls Curfew is mentioned as the British Army getting a little carried away, but no mention of the civilians they killed. No mention of Ballymurphy at all.

Paddy McCarthy died on this day in 1971. My mom wrote this sorrowful poem in remembrance: toomuchbrudders.com/2021/05/08/f... #Irish #MilkForBabies #FamilyHistory #poetry #OTD
For Paddy McCarthy | Ballymurphy Massacre | Too Much Brudders
It's been 50 years since the death of Paddy McCarthy in the Ballymurphy Massacre. When Mom read about his bravery, she wrote this poem.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social @lbc.co.uk ah, the brave Parachute regiment that slaughtered 13 innocent civil rights marchers in Derry, 11 innocent people, including a priest, in Ballymurphy, a young girl on a country road and slandered every single one of them to this day?

I'm Irish. I'm well used to looking at British judgements and questioning them. Birmingham Six, Guildford Four, Maguire Seven, Bloody Sunday, Ballymurphy, Internment....

Unfortunately, older people in Belfast have direct experience of been burnt out of their homes. At that time I believe members of the travelling community came down to those areas and helped bring families to the safety of other Catholic areas
like Ballymurphy

Nothing will really happen, like for the victims of Ballymurphy or Bloody Sunday, a belated admittance is somehow punishment enough for poor old Blighty, they barely see us as human
June 11, 2026 at 6:43 PM
I'm sure there were some Catholics involved, but the vast majority of the violence was from Loyalists. Have a look at where all those immigrants houses were burnt out and most of the trouble was. It wasn't Ballymurphy and the Ardoyne.
