We’re currently at the UK headquarters of Amazon to hand in our donkey skin trade petition. Nearly 60,000 signatures on the petition show that the UK public do not want donkey skin products, also known as ejiao, to be available for sale on this retailer’s website.

Due to China’s donkey population reducing from 11.1 million donkeys to 2.5 million between 1990 & 2018, in order to meet demand for ejiao production 90% of skins are now imported. These skins come from donkeys that are stolen from families who rely on them daily
