Continuing to share favourite images from my 30+ year photographic career, this is the summit of South Barrule on the Isle of Man. Not posed, and grabbed very quickly with a Mamiya 7, it became a good earner via IoM Tourism.

"Quartz" - outcrop on the way to North Barrule last night as the sun sets. Very windy and plenty of mist flying over the ridge. A case of waiting, along with constant cleaning of the condensation from the ND Grad filter, until I had some sunlight combined with a decent view of the peak.

It has been pretty windy this week, but the excellent crew on the Barrule found a 20h window in which we got most of the sampling done. We got 40 sediment cores by sampling through the night. Very tiring obviously but it was worth it.

'Patch of the day'. A little clump of heather still going strong on Slieau Freoaghane looking toward Snaefell and North Barrule. A quick dash from the other side of the hill to get this one in the final direct sunlight of the day. A favourite from yesterday evening. #IsleofManLandscapes #ManxNature
