Offers of £7m-plus sought for South Yorkshire hotel
A prominent South Yorkshire hotel has been brought to market, with offers of more than £7 million sought. The Crown Hotel in Bawtry comprises 76 boutique bedrooms and suites, a food and drink offering through its bar and restaurant, a function room that can host weddings and other events and an outdoor seating area.
The property is located close to Doncaster Sheffield Airport, which is set to reopen next year, and also features two adjoining retail premises that provide an additional income stream.

Many years ago the choir I was in stayed at Bawtry Hall, part of Bomber Command. We got it cheap for rehearsals as we helped remove all the old wartime RAF fittings.

I saw #DavidSedaris at the Royal Festival Hall last night. Wonderful stuff. I normally wouldn’t pay anything like £55 for a show. But it was well worth it. All he did was read some of his stuff and chat. Like me at Bawtry library. But better paid. And excellent.
