Me ha salido este ranking de “novelas para partirte de risa” y es tan básico como el que pone en esculturas: el David de Miguel Ángel, La piedad, El rapto de proserpina de Bernini o La verdad velada de Corradini.

It’s true. The new David Geffen galleries at LACMA do not function like an art museum. The meandering concrete space is a pleasant walk through a melange of objects scattered through views of Los Angeles through the tall windows. They backlight *everything*. It’s obnoxious. You can’t see well.

Bernini is absolutely, hands-down my favourite 3D artist. That man had an almost preternatural gift with shaping stone, and he UNDERSTOOD how bodies looked.
His "David" is phenomenal. Well, all his stuff is.

Bluesky has censored posts I've made with the Statue of David, a sculpture by Bernini, and paintings by Botticelli and Bosch. And my alt text descriptions made no difference.

I can think of numerous great artists who would disagree!!! A perfect example is Jacques-Louis David, who went from Robespierre to Napoleon! Or Bernini, Rembrandt, even Picasso.
The problem is that “I am often scared and angry about social change” does not inherently lend itself to interesting art. You can be as technically skilled as the greats, but art with nothing interesting to say is just a commodity.
