Hello again Bettembourg station. I was here a year ago when I was following in the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes. There was also bus replacement between Luxembourg and Bettembourg then too. Must be plated with gold, that line, by now. #Schengen200

Within about two minutes of leaving Bettembourg, my TER Grand Est double decker has crossed the border into France. At peak times of day, these trains would be packed with transfrontalier workers, just as the Øresundtåg we were on yesterday was (or France-Geneva). Schengen in practice! #Schengen200

We just stopped at Bettembourg.
The last 2 1/2 carriages were off platform.

Nice little jump to disembark!

Today is #CrossBorderRail 2024 Extra Days (Gouvy and Vallorcine) - Ravières - Dijon - Nancy - Luxembourg - Liège - Brugge
