#BiElection
Hard disagree. If Labour wants to force an unnecessary bielection Labour can fight it.

He's just an utterly vile person. That bielection should be delayed as long as possible. Fuck PP

i keep misspelling "bylection" as "bielection," so. you can see where my allegiances lie

Well he could save Mark Carney a lot of money by just accepting the results of the last election and not having a bielection. So clearly he doesn't actually care about government expenses. He also has twice as many shadow cabinet members and his party costs more than the Liberals do.

Israel put in over $2O million making the Kentucky Republican bielection the costliest ever in USA history. Has the USA ever considered restricting lobby donations like other sensible democracies?

Has Nigel Farage said thank you to his voters and activists at any point since winning this vanity bielection?

Whenever an MP jumps ships, or jumps off the ship, a bielection should be triggered.

Fri. FYI - Non-US:

- UK wants internet curfews & ID Mandates
- UK wants social media ban by Spring 2027.
- Discord works on making Message Requests more annoying for teen in UK
- UK Burnham won bielection. Could replace Starmer
- VPN ban back on menu

THREAD STARTS HERE. PLEASE READ ALL.

Outside the US, the western world seems to be falling to Authoritarian "Protect the Kids" control, & is being used as the example elsewhere.

If you live outside the US, here's a thread on what you can do & where:

So Nenshi can’t get into AB Leg unless Smith calls a bielection for him? So like, he will have to wait until 2027 then?

Mi marido nunca ha estado tan atento a un candidato electoral como lo está ahora mismo con Count Binface en la bielection de Clapton.

Time for a bielection or two then? 🙂

The people have spoken!

We in Canada, also, did not elect our opposition leader to a seat in Parliament.

But we can’t seem to get rid of him. Another member, in a very safe conservative seat, has volunteered to step down so that he can run in a bielection.

And still unelected … arguably Avi possess more of a threat if elected to parliament - which may suggest this is a form of character assassination in advance of a bielection or general election. If Carney calls a snap election in November, Avi is out of time.

Good news. The party can't use the same excuses not to pick him this time because they lost the last bielection he tried to get picked for and they can't use the "distraction" argument because everyone is already talking about post Starmer etc.
BREAKING: Andy Burnham has confirmed he will request to stand in the Makerfield by-election

#EnglishCreates: Futures
We are thrilled to share today's blog by Caroline Lucas, Britain’s first Green MP:

'Literature is the way we exercise the muscle of the imagination... And unless we can imagine a greener, fairer world, we’ll struggle to achieve it.'

It would be so funny if Poliviere bullies a conservative mp into resigning, triggering a bielection he can run in only to lose again.
April 29, 2025 at 8:29 PM
I hope the local Con support will boycott the bielection and hopefully not elect him. He won’t be humiliated because he will just play another victim card that he will pull out of his sleeve. But maybe some will finally realize what a loser he is.
July 28, 2025 at 10:28 PM
my only pierre poilievre take is that on bluesky we should call it a bielection
August 20, 2025 at 4:28 PM
Its not only MPs - I was beaten in a local election by a handful of votes last April & the Tory winner has been to only one meeting since. This is her obligation in order to get paid £5k a year. I think a minimum is a good idea & an automatic bielection unless there are extenuating circumstances.

There are 18 candidates running in the Battlefords-Crowfoot bielection, 13 of them independent. Many of the candidates have set strong platforms, which is great. However none have so far gotten the profile Bonnie Critchley is now enjoying. We are curios to know, who is funding Critchley?
