Since then, 75% of the time I’m on this street (4x/day) I see drivers pull into the bikelane.

Minneapolis protected bikelane at 4pm after 1-2” fell in the middle of the day:
Look at all of these bike tracks made outside of the popular commute times. 😍

-no parking bike lane sign
-bike symbol painted in 2 way bikelane
-cone at intersection
-curb separating general traffic lane from protected bikelane
Drivers, looking at bikelane:
“That looks like a great place to drive my car!”

We don't need the province making it harder to build homes.
Freedom to build: that's the Alberta way.
Would be cool if we fixed this at some point @minneapolismn.gov (I’ve been asking for two years).

It’d be really cool if we did *something* to this protected bikeway design to make sure drivers don’t end up unsafely & illegally driving cars in the bikelane (whether on accident or on purpose).
This isn’t safe.

But the flexposts are far apart, routinely destroyed & not replaced.
So this is *actually* an invitation to drivers to use the bikelane as a loading zone, pushing people on bikes into the general traffic lanes, where they’re more likely to be hit by drivers.

I have a hard time understanding the audacity of seeing a street with 90% of space set aside for cars (driving & parking) & deciding you *also* get to block the bikelane w/ your car.

Thanks for pushing me out of the flex post protected bikelane and into oncoming car traffic, Cintas! 😡

I’m quite confused bc parking isn’t allowed in this bikelane anyway (except Sunday mornings).
What’s going on here, @minneapolismn.gov ?

Including bringing a huge pick up truck with a “dad armor” decal onto the sidewalk and protected bikelane.
Not cool, Dad, not cool.
