I’m a 44 year old midwestern cisgender white guy dad and business owner and supporting my trans friends, neighbors, and colleagues is not at all controversial. In any way. Period.

Fuck anyone who says otherwise.

Pick a motherfucking side @democrats.org
It ain’t that hard.

Seriously, every day.

I don’t think it should take special training for a contractor to understand blocking pedestrian crosswalks is not legal or safe.

I had to go out to the garage to grab something I forgot in our car.

Took Thomas with me and he ran straight to the @bunchbike.com and sat next to it.

Don’t have time to take him for a ride now but clearly we need fit one in today!

Reality: The average lock setup is not great. Cable locks, unsecured tires, locking around a short pole where the bike can be lifted over.

Most electric/cargo bikes do not use grinder resistant locks.

It’s not hard to beat that and have below average risk of theft. (Not impossible, less likely.)
What’s really harmful to cycling for transportation is how many people tell you bike theft is inevitable, never ever leave your bike outside.

Turns out the right lock (for your level of bike) plus locking strategy can make theft not impossible but substantially less likely.

Preview of some new limited-edition merch. (Don't worry, it's just a sample for sizing and testing the embroidery; the real thing won't be red.)

Patreon subscribers will get first dibs when this drops. We expect it to go quickly!

When I first started using a bike for transportation I avoided all inclement weather.

But over time, I started venturing into riding in the rain (& eventually snow/ice).

I slowly figured out what gear keeps me warm & dry (as dry as possible) in what type of rain.

Anyone missing an Urban Arrow?
Hey twin cities cargo bike people, if you know anyone who had their urban arrow stolen, a suspicious looking one got on the blue line at MOA. (No battery or screen, wheel lock looks cut, person who brought it on didn't seem comfortable handling it and sat far away.)
