Bioaccumulation makes eating the rich a bit risky. Compost the rich

my top instagram suggestion is a Threads post of a screenshot of a Twitter post. this is an electronic form of bioaccumulation and we are all eating cybermercury

The article's pubpeer thread would strongly disagree.

i'm recycling this post back through blue sky after it was passed through two different facebook pages. this is the same way that bioaccumulation works in marine life

The body is constantly exposed to toxins. Even in the cleanest environments with the purest nutrients, we take in metals and other particulates that need to be evacuated. When they can’t, they build up. Bioaccumulation can make a relatively benign substance in trace amounts a significant hazard.

If someone wants to talk to me about bioaccumulation of Cs137 in tissue abs biological half-life versus physics half life we can go there

While sea turtles are threatened by climate change, habitat loss, entanglement and bycatch during fishing activity, ingestion of plastic and bioaccumulation of plastic-associated contaminants is an ever-growing threat. #WetTribe #TidetotheOcean #SeaTurtles #TurtleTuesday #Microplastics

Their halflives (along with bioaccumulation patterns) have absolutely everything to do with their effects on human tissue

NGL that would surprise me. I'd expect bioaccumulation to make it worse in meat in the same way bioaccumulation makes heavy metals worse in seafood.

New poke-treat, the "Everstoner". Infused with devolution spray, everstone (ground down enough to be food safe! Assuming you don't mind bioaccumulation...) and enough "active ingredient" to tranquilize any mon into a nice docile state.

I do like making people who want to get all Victory Garden AF think for a moment about their soils, water, and bioaccumulation.

Again, Carson’s writing helped her. It offered in-roads that connected her with researchers that had worked for years on topics including environmental degradation and evolutionary biology as well as bioaccumulation of toxic substances and man-made, chemical carcinogens.

Yes, but this is the thing bioaccumulation ecological modelling is made for. Also, remediation project design.

the political rhetoric surrounding it. The EPA's non-targeted screening simply flags the physical presence of a chemical. It provides no data on concentration levels, bioaccumulation, or whether trace remnants present any genuine risk to humans, animals, or plant ecosystems.
