Mysterious Blurry Hooded Merganser on the pond today. I've been trying to get a good shot of him but he keeps moving out of range. Doing a lot of diving and getting all Sasquatch on me. #birds #birdphotofail #ducks
Blurry photo of a Hooded Merganser on our pond. Famous blurry photo of Big Foot. Still shot from the 1967 Patterson–Gimlin film.

#birdphotofail - Wilson's Warbler, again - it WAS prettily perched, facing the camera, nice croppable distance from the reflections in the window, when I pressed the button. 🦜🌿
An adult male Wilson's Warbler has just taken off in flight from its perch on a honeysuckle stem and is at a 3/4 angle towards the camera; the face, chest and legs are visible but the wings are merely a blur. The angle makes it look like honeysuckle stems are growing out of his head. The upper left corner is blurred with a reflection of an item in the window this was being photographed through.

#birdphotofail - Wilson's Warbler turned around 180degrees right as I was taking the shot #birds 🦜
Tight close-up crop of a native honeysuckle stem + several leaves, twining up and taped to a thin vertical stick. A Wilson's warbler is perched on a stem amongst the leaves, facing away from the camera, with its distinctive head markings behind a leaf. The bird's green-yellow coloration is a perfect match for the plant leaves, making it not at all obvious there is a bird there.

A #birdphotofail, but I think this still captures the supreme grumpiness of this immature Superb Fairy Wren! #wildoz
